Personal Projects

This is the PSION Kickstarter homepage, which features an introductory advertisement that I edited, as well as an overview of the campaign's financial success thus far.

Our Kickstarter campaign included a number of reward incentives to encourage people to donate more than the minimum amount of $5. These included rewards such as stickers featuring characters from the book and physical copies of the book. These were highly sought after, in lieu of the digital download that backers received with a $5 donation.

Our main strategy to promote the book was to post reels on Instagram, which we felt was the best way to reach our target audience of young adults. We also used TikTok, but found less success there. The reels were created in collaboration with my writer; we would pitch ideas to one another, followed by scripting and the compiling and/or filming of footage. Then I would edit everything together via CapCut, and send the videos back to him for final review and posting. As you can see, we amassed over 100,00 views in total, using a combination of paid advertisements and purely organic posts. Both attracted a high rate of engagement.

We also created a number of graphics that we would post regularly in order to keep us high in the algorithm. These were mostly created using artwork from the book, which was made into presentable standalone posts using Photoshop.

In the end we had an extremely successful campaign, more than doubling our initial crowdfunding goal, achieving all of our stretch goals, and even getting our book in a physical store in my writer's hometown. We continue to get orders, and demand is high for the upcoming second issue.
